Last  July 19, 2013  two scouts from Troop 3097 of Boy Scouts of America (BSA) visited the Palawan-Puerto Princesa Council during the Councilwide Ecological Camp at Sitio Malatgao, Bgy. Dumanguena, Narra, Palawan.
Rodrigo Samodal and Joshua Rey Samodal visited the BSP Palawan-Puerto Princesa Council to conduct community service here as part of their requirements to achieve the Eagle Scout Rank of the BSA.  Mr. Ronnie G. Caralipio, the Council Scout Executive, together with the Council Staff and Agila Palawan will assist them to complete their requirements by donating books and scout items to the Indigenous Scouts of Palawan.
During their brief visit, they received a warm welcome from the scout participants of the camp, interacted with our very own Eagle Scouts, had "Boodle Fight", and had swimming at the Malatgao River.
We are so happy to be part of their formation program and we hope these two will become the Eagle Scouts that they have worked for... so hard.

Happiness is the realization of God in the heart. Happiness is the result of praise and thanksgiving, of faith, of acceptance; a quiet tranquil realization of the love of God.

The Boy Scout of the Philippines Palawan- Puerto Princesa Council conducting a Council-wide Ecological Camp on July 19-22, 2012 at Ike's Padong Farm, Sitio Nagtabon, Bgy. Bacungan, Puerto Princesa City,Palawan...It is a camping conducted every year for those scouts, for them to learn on how to preserve our mother nature and to learn how to solve an ecological problem, because some people say that we need to discard the modern way of life, but this is a bit extreme, so that the BSP Palawan- PPC Council conduct this camp for those scouts to learn how to use wisdom and understanding to tackle some ecological problems like mining, illegal logging, quarry, illegal fishing etc...

This is extremely important for each scouts, for them to realize their responsibility for preserving the environment, to make it a part of daily life, create the same attitude in their families, and spread it to the community.

As a concern scout, we sometimes see ‘the environment issues as far away from us. But we must learn from the problems that are faced by the highly advanced nations to set the proper path from the beginning.
